My approach to birthday cakes has always been the same. Its best to give a cake with a theme that is designed to suit the individual. I spent a lot of time making cakes for children, this very often meant incorporating cartoon characters or toys that were popular at the time!
I covered generic themes like dragons, fairytale castles and musical instruments to the popular characters of the day including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Postman Pat, Thomas the Tank Engine to name a few!
The characters may have changed since however the need hasn’t. I can’t put generic prices on this page as each cake will have a different cost depending how much time it takes, and the skill required to complete it.
I recently completed a birthday cake for a family friend which was a Plant pot, where everything was edible apart from the wires holding the flowers. She was blown away and so were her grandchildren. But don’t take my word for it, read her words for yourself:
